Using traditionally marketing tech, such as eye-tracking heatmaps and emotion recognition to improve educational texts.
At our university, we struggle with outdated and low-quality e-learning materials. We strive to improve this situation with limited resources. For this reason, we've built a simple aggregator app, that collects data from eye-tracking, facial recognition, GSR and HR sensors and by analyzing and comparing to eye-tracking heatmaps we alter the layout and content of an e-learning course. In this talk, I'll describe the lackluster status of current CompSci education in Slovakia, our struggle to make it better and show off the tech we use.
